Signing in to C2Connection

The two ways in, and what the screens after the password are asking for.

For anyone with a C2Connection account

There are two ways into C2Connection, and which one you use depends on how your company set up your account.

Everything on the sign-in screen is in this one card.

Sign in with Microsoft

If your company uses Microsoft accounts, select Log in with Microsoft at the top of the screen. You will be handed to Microsoft's own sign-in page, and then brought back here. This works once your Microsoft account is linked to your C2Connection login, which you turn on under My profile → Microsoft 365 sign-in.

You will not be asked for a C2Connection password or a C2Connection verification code. Microsoft checks who you are.

Sign in with a username and password

Otherwise, type your username and password into the two fields and select Log in.

Your username is not necessarily your email address — it is whatever was set when your account was created. If you do not know it, or the password is not working, see forgotten username or password.

If you have never signed in before, you do not have a password yet. You have a Client ID and a Client code, and the first step is registering your account.

The two screens that can follow

Signing in is not always one screen. Depending on your account, one or both of these comes next:

  • A verification code. After a username and password, most accounts ask for one, from an authenticator app or sent to you. Signing in with Microsoft skips this step. See your verification code.
  • A choice of profile. If your details appear under more than one company, you pick which one you are signing in as. See choosing a profile.

Neither means anything has gone wrong.

If it will not let you through

The message on screen is what to read first: a wrong username or password is reported under the two fields, and anything else is a different problem. The common causes, in the order worth trying, are in when sign-in will not let you through.
